Concept of E-learning Platform Implementation by Applying Agile Methods of Project Management
Barlíková, Barbora ; Doskočil, Radek (referee) ; Smolíková, Lenka (advisor)
The diploma thesis main objective is to create a process draft of establishment of an elearning platform for a rapidly growing start-up company while using agile project management methods. The introductory, theoretical part presents theoretical background of the researched matters. The analytical part firstly introduces the company and its products and afterwards it provides a thorough analysis of internal employee´s education processes. Following all knowledge acquired in the theoretical and analytical part, the practical part finally outlines the particular draft of educational platform development project.
Customer proprietary information system
Kojecký, Jan ; Roupec, Jan (referee) ; Heriban, Pavel (advisor)
The work deals with the development of custom business information systems for ISPs. The information system consists of two main modules – the user module, which manages all the necessary data and hardware module, which contains information on technical equipment and network infrastructure of company with links to transmitted data monitors. The information system is running on Linux server.
Information System Design
Pisarčíková, Michaela ; Kindlová, Dita (referee) ; Koch, Miloš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of the information system segment, the application which provides monitoring and company management while taking into account the company needs. The design of the new system is preceded by an analysis of the current state of the company itself, its system and processes. Based on the obtained information we create a draft project of development and implementation of the mentioned application while applying the technics of project management and describe individual activities leading to the achievement of the objective of this project.
Mobile Application for CMS Administration
Ingr, Michal ; Tesař, Filip (referee) ; Dydowicz, Petr (advisor)
The master's thesis describes the designing and developing mobile application for remote management of Kentico CMS/EMS system via REST interface. The thesis emphasized agile approaches to development, especially Test-Driven Development and automated testing.
Application Development for Financial Advisors
Halinár, Petr ; Bradáč, Richard (referee) ; Dydowicz, Petr (advisor)
The modern time is characterized by strong competition in almost every field of doing, customers expect better and better services, demands are growing permanently. Capability to satisfy customers´ expectations became one of the key success factors. In many cases is this capability of delivering additional value the only significant benefit which differ you from competition. Customers rely on impressions and image of the company more and more. This work does not deal with complex customer relationship management, but is aimed at improving the position of financial advisors/consultants in this area. The purpose of application, designed in this work, is to improve effectiveness and save time in every day’s life which is wasted for unnecessary searching and browsing records. This goal is connected with capability of application to deliver methods which make possible easy and effective client portfolio management.
Occupancy Estimation of a Parking Lot from Images
Dubovec, Pavol ; Špaňhel, Jakub (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
When determining the number of vehicles in the pictures of carparks that do not have the appropriate parameters needed for processing, the problem of vehicle counting can be quite complex. The aim of this work is to create an application that detects the number of vehicles in the selected photo, regardless of selected carpark view. This detection will be performed using machine learning, based on a model, created by training on trained data, which consists of photographs of parking lots from different perspectives and positions. The problem was solved in an unconventional way, by splitting the pictures with the parking lot into several areas of interest (zones) and creating anotations from these areas, using the created application specialized for this task. The images are then formatted to the same size. These prepared cutouts are then loaded to the Keras API, which is used to train the model. The aim was to create a model that would be versatile enough to determine the number of vehicles in a photograph in any environment (time, weather, weather conditions) and in the shortest possible time. Currently, the model can predict the correct number of vehicles in the cutout on test data with an accuracy of 87% and with a first order error of 95%. This work focuses on solving this problem in real time. It is a classification into 7 classes (0-6 vehicles). This solution could be interesting especially for static cameras in atypical places (eg side view), or it is important for them to capture certain areas.
Usage of Design Patterns in Software Development
Volf, Jiří ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Kreslíková, Jitka (advisor)
The objective of my MSc Thesis was to map over reasons, why are design patterns so popular in the modern information systems and other applications development. It is considering with the basic aspects of object-oriented systems, expounds the importance and structure of design patterns. The explication is followed by categorization of design patterns and in more detail is focused on the most frequently used design patterns including their contribution or complications, which could eventually occur. The advantages of design with design patterns are demonstrated on practical example of database application.
Mobile App for Making Challenges and Taking Part in Them
Plachý, Tomáš ; Kolář, Martin (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis deals with the problematics of designing, implementing and testing of mobile application for operationg systems iOS and Android.     The main work of this thesis is development of an application, which allows its users to create challenges and invite their friends to participate in them. Users can also watch the progress of other participants in a challenge, which can give themselve more motivation to complete the challenge.   The application was designed and developed with focus on opinions of its users. I have started by developing a prototype in order to find out, which functions do the users find the most crucial. Thereafter I created the first official version, which was subsequently iteratively improved with regard to feedback from testers.
Controlling of a Canon DSLR via a mobile device
MINÁŘ, Petr
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to create a mobile application for the Android platform, through which it would be possible to control a Canon digital SLR camera. The connection between the mobile phone and the camera is made via Wi-Fi. The camera control application allows you to detect and connect or disconnect the camera, view camera information (battery level, free space on memory card, lens connection), can make selected camera settings (adjust exposure parameters, flash control, set ISO value, set color photo style), display a live view image of the camera, start basic operations (focus, immediate and delayed image capture, zoom adjustment), more complex actions (sequential shooting, exposure with various parameters) and the ability to record video. The application is able to save the selected settings as special thematic modes for later use. In addition, the application supports the transfer and storage of photos from the camera to a mobile phone. Application programming is based on an SDK package issued by Canon. Based on the testing of the created application, I evaluated the possibilities and limits of controlling a digital SLR camera from another device via Wi-Fi. Compared to the Canon application, my application allows more setting options as well stored user settings of individual camera settings.
Mobile Open Source application development for OS Android in Kotlin
VOJÁČEK, Jakub
The aim of my bachelor's thesis will be to analyze the creation of Open Source applications for mobile devices with Android OS in the programming language Kotlin. Kotlin is a statically typed programming language running on top of a Java Virtual Machine, with the option of compiling into JavaScript. It is designed for interoperability with Java libraries, it even depends on some kernel libraries. In 2017 Google designated Kotlin as the official language for Android development instead of the originally used Java language. The bachelor's thesis will elaborate the development of the application in the language of Kotlin, the output of the work will be a set of practical examples, smaller applications, and the main, larger, application Department of Informatics PF JU. The application will be tested on available platforms (phone, tablet) and on several versions of the Android OS, part of the work will be publishing the finished application on Google Play.
